The finalists for the Team of the Year categories in this year’s CIO50 Australia have been announced.

The finalists for the Team of the Year categories in this year’s CIO50 Australia have been announced. 

Part of Foundry’s global , the awards recognise IT teams that exemplify excellence in specific areas.  

These categories include the Culture & Inclusion award, acknowledging teams that foster a positive and innovative work culture; the Customer Value award, commending teams that prioritise delivering value to customers; the Transformation award, recognising teams successfully leading impactful business initiatives; and the Innovation in Emerging Tech award which recognises the drive for progress through the strategic use of newer technologies. 

It was a record year for entries across all categories and the following organisations were shortlisted as finalists. 

Culture & Inclusion: 

This award recognises teams that build positive, inclusive cultures while attracting, developing, and retaining top talent. Winners show how effective strategies boost engagement, nurture diversity, strengthen cohesion, and retain key skills – driving team success and digital competitiveness.

Customer Value: 

This award honours technology teams that redefine customer engagement, delivering exceptional value and experiences through innovative user interaction. The winner will demonstrate how their initiative – whether a project, solution, process, business model, or operation – has significantly improved customer outcomes, setting a new benchmark for lasting value.

  • VicRoads  

Transformation: 

This award celebrates organisations that have successfully planned and executed business transformation initiatives by leveraging digital and disruptive technologies. It recognises those that have strategically integrated these innovations to deliver outstanding outcomes aligned with their broader business goals.

Innovation in Emerging Tech: 

This award recognises a team that is driving bold innovation through the strategic use of emerging technologies to transform their organisation and lead industry change. It celebrates those using advanced technology to pioneer new business models, enhance operations, or create breakthrough products and services, delivering real and measurable impact.

The winners will be unveiled at the invite-only gala  on September 23 at Hyde Park Doltone House in Sydney.
