Joseph Cleveland Announces His Retirement from Lockheed Martin

late last week that Lockheed Martin 娇色导航Joseph Cleveland intends to retire in April 2008. Cleveland, 62, has served as the defense contractor’s IT chief for nearly 12 years. According to the story in the Sentinel, the 娇色导航“cited unspecified personal reasons” for his decision to retire. Lockheed has not yet appointed a successor. My colleague Kim Nash recently wrote a story on succession planning that may help Lockheed. You should check it out, too.

Dow Chemical 娇色导航and Jack-of-all-trades David Kepler was appointed to ‘s board of directors. Kepler sits on the audit committee. Teradata’s chairman, James Ringler, said in the announcing Kepler’s appointment that the chief information officer was chosen for his “broad global experience and deep understanding of technology issues and strategies.” Dow Chemical is not listed on Teradata’s website as a customer.

Max Rayner is starting a new job on November 5 as chief information officer at Travelzoo. He will report to Chairman and CEO Ralph Bartel. Rayner, a 2005 Ones to Watch honoree, joins the NYC-based media company from security software provider SurfControl where he served as EVP of products and services and 娇色导航since 2005. Prior to SurfControl, he was vice president of systems architecture at Salesforce.com, beginning in 2004. Previously, he held several management positions with Sun Microsystems from 1997 to 2004. Raynor has a Bachelor of Arts degree in computer science and digital engineering from Dartmouth College. He earned an MBA in finance from UCLA.

, a manufacturer of silicon-based communications infrastructure products, hired Trong Vu as its new chief information officer and vice president of information technology. He reports to president and CEO Ralph Schmitt. Trong joined the Fremont, Calif.-based company from Mattson Technology where he was vice president of IT. Prior to Mattson, he worked for LSI Logic and National Semiconductor as their IT director. Trong holds a bachelor’s degree in information systems management from the University of San Francisco.

Matt LoPiccolo was promoted to vice president and chief information officer at . He most recently served as the Solon, Ohio-based company as director of customer solutions, responsible for outbound supply chain strategies. Over the course of his nearly 22-year career with the company (he joined in 1985), LoPiccolo has worked in IT, distribution and logistics, cusotmer service and supply chain management. The new 娇色导航has a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from John Carroll University and an MBA from Baldwin Wllace College.
